Objects fascinate me – the things we use everyday, things that link us to the past. Far from being inanimate or purely functional, objects are powerful metaphors paralleling our progress through life.

My practice looks at the stories and events surrounding particular objects that express a sense of our identity and connect us to people, place and time.

Exploring the personal value of ‘things’ gives momentum to my research based practice. The gallery pages give an insight into this research and work touching on stories about the land, the domestic, childhood memories and WWII evacuation.
